About the Maker

Based in Chatham, Sarah Mijares Fick is a Filipina-American artist working primarily in clay. Her sculptural work features expressive forms and rich textures, exploring themes of transformation, interconnectedness, nature, and the unseen. Originally self-taught, Sarah Mijares Fick later studied with ceramic artists across the U.S., South Korea, and Morocco, experiences that continue to shape her creative approach and deep respect for earth as a material.
